LEGAL REGULATIONS

Dear Patient,

The protection of your personal data is important to us.

According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Data Protection Act, we are obliged to inform you about the purpose for which our company collects, stores or forwards data.

The information also tells you what rights you have in terms of data protection.

Encrypted sample identity

Upon receipt of a sample, it is provided with an encrypted number code, whereupon the customer data is loaded onto the security server and securely locked. Only this numerical code is used for the course of the analysis and the identity of the customer is not visible even to the personnel carrying out the analysis.

Encryption for external analyzes

If the sample has to be analyzed in an external laboratory, it is provided with an encrypted number code before dispatch. In this way, even the laboratories carrying out the work have no access to the customer's identity. Data security is thus guaranteed even in this process.

PURPOSE OF THE DATA PROCESSING

The data processing takes place on the basis of legal requirements in order to fulfill the treatment contract between you and your doctor and the associated obligations.

For this we process your personal data, in particular your health data. This includes genetic engineering and other laboratory tests, anamnesis, diagnoses, therapy proposals and findings that we collect.

For these purposes, other doctors or laboratories can also provide us with data (e.g. in laboratory reports). The collection of health data is a prerequisite for your treatment. If the necessary information is not provided, careful handling cannot take place.

RECIPIENTS OF YOUR DATA

We only transfer your personal data to third parties if this is permitted by law or if you have given your consent. Recipients of your personal data can primarily be genetic engineering laboratories. These laboratories (inside and outside the European Union) treat your data according to the same strict guidelines. The transmission takes place mainly for the purpose of billing the services provided to you and to clarify medical questions. In individual cases, data will be transmitted to other authorized recipients.

STORING YOUR DATA

We only keep your personal data for as long as is necessary to carry out the analysis. Due to legal requirements, we are obliged to keep specific data for at least 10 years after the end of the treatment.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to receive information about your personal data. You can also request that incorrect data be corrected.

In addition, under certain conditions, you have the right to delete data, the right to restrict data processing and the right to data portability.

The processing of your data takes place on the basis of legal regulations. We only need your consent in exceptional cases. In these cases you have the right to withdraw your consent for future processing.

You also have the right to complain to the competent data protection supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that your personal data is not being processed lawfully.

LEGAL BASIS

The legal basis for processing your data is the Swiss Data Protection Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation.
